Pleasant stay
Room and facilities were definitely better than expected especially after some of the reviews. Room was clean and I had a comfy bed. Indoor pool was nice although could have been slightly warmer. Staff in the restaurant were very helpful. Food was basic but ok for the money. Staff at reception were also helpful. View from my room was great. There were some building works nearby but the room was pretty soundproof. Genuinely had a lovely stay (one issue mentioned below).
Changing facilities were very limited, basically one small open room with no privacy and the sensor light kept turning off. The only massively negative issue was one of the over zealous poolside staff. I bought a pot of tea at the hotel bar that opened out towards the pool. I went and sat on a sunbed near the pool whilst I waited for my room to become available so had some luggage with me. Staff pointed at me from the other side and didn't appear happy with me but I didn't understand him. He came over and in broken English said I couldn't have my tea at the poolside as it was in a cup. I told him the bar above had served it and there was no notices at all from the bar to where I had sat to say I couldn't. I asked him to bring me a paper cup to put the tea in. He bought over a thin plastic cup! I was trying to explain that I would definitely burn my hands on the hot water as the plastic would melt but he wouldn't listen and without warning took my tray of tea away from me and marched off towards the upper bar. He was rude and arrogant. It upset me greatly and actually made me cry. All I wanted was to rest and enjoy my tea beside a very empty pool.

Last bus before 6pm, dinner so late after 8pm only 3 lifts, doesn't look like 4 * hotel
